Take a Vacation From Reality

Escapism is on the rise today, and it doesn’t take much looking around to see why. Whether it’s due to politics, geopolitical tension, wars, the economy, or a slew of other reasons, many people today are tired and desperate for a break from the breakneck pace of life. Luckily, this is a possibility with astral projection, coupled with the added benefit of being doable from the comfort of your home.
Despite the variable nature of astral projection experiences, one of the biggest benefits they can bring is an altered outlook and general relief from the stresses of life, knowing that there is more out there than just this single physical existence. You’re more than your physical body, you’re more than this single life and the hardships you face; the future will always bring change – there is no real permanence in the grand scheme of things. This concept also translates to the astral as it is always changing and evolving with creative energy, bringing an infinite amount of exploration and you will have time to experience all that you desire since time is a non-issue.
The Secret to Projection
If I could give one huge takeaway regarding the biggest aid concerning astral projection, then it would be the drive of the person practicing it. You make up 90% of what it’s going to take to get out of body. The majority of the practice itself is mental, techniques and any other tricks or methods take up the little that is left. As we go over in our Blueprint - desire, intention, and consistency will drive that need into your subconscious which does the bulk of the work. The rest of the tools we give, and the technique, are there to give you the highest chance of that subconscious effort to shine through in the shortest amount of time. If you really want a mental break from reality it won't come freely, it will take some mental effort to do so.
The effort required is very small though, just taking ten minutes a night before sleep to set your intentions to go out of body, maybe doing a small ritual and lighting a candle or writing out affirmations confirming your success that night and what your goals will be – these go a long way in reinforcing that subconscious need. Once you have this time carved out for yourself, make sure that you keep up the effort, preferably nightly or every other night. The bridge timer that we provide in the Blueprint doesn’t have to be used every night, as we go over, but that consistent mental desire and intention is a requirement if you want to succeed. This isn’t a practice that may happen if you’re inconsistent and half-trying, nothing will happen because your subconscious matches your effort. Think of it like exercising a muscle or a skill, you’re on the right track but the improvement isn’t instantly seen. With this practice you’re exercising an invisible muscle so just keep in mind that you’re doing good work by being consistent.
After you put in all this work what could be the payoff when it comes to using astral projection for fun? You may have heard an example of some of the things you can do but instead of listing those out, Bret is going to give an example of one of his longer experiences where he traveled to an area that seemed designed for pure entertainment.
Spring Break Dimension
“On this particular night, it was about a month or so into consistently putting in nightly intention to go out of body, except on this night I was taking a break. This just goes to show that you can have spontaneous experiences but you still have to build up that subconscious effort over time.
I had no particular goal in mind for that night, but I did have the opportunity to call out and ask my guide to appear. This was the first time that I ever attempted it. In past outings, I have felt watched which I hoped was by my guide, but they were always unseen.
When I said out loud for my guide to appear they did in an instant, just suddenly appeared in front of me. They had the appearance of an older, shorter black gentleman, with a distinguished gray beard and wore a gray 1920s tweed suit. Once I saw them I had the overwhelming gut feeling that I knew them, that they were a friend of mine. We hugged and at the time I was at a loss for words as to what to say. In the wall a kind of tunnel appeared, mostly dark in color, black with random swirls of purple. We walked through this tunnel and on the other side of the bend… was a dive bar.
I was in awe of this place at first. It looked as if you took a bunch of different periods in history and different bars and smashed them together. The floor layout was raised kind of like studio 76, there was neon on some of the walls like it was the 80s, and even part of it had those glow star stickers on them. By now my guide had completely left, leaving me to explore this area. I just sat down at a table and took in the whole place while laughing. A regular looking guy was sitting across from me, silently enjoying his beer. I said out loud ‘This place is like something from the 80s!’ with a grin. His face hardened like he was offended someone would make fun of his favorite spot, to which he got up and left me in my giddy idiocy at the table.
From there it was bar after bar, an endless array of them, all different, and most had really high ceilings which seems to be a common occurrence in the astral, perhaps for people who want to fly over the crowds. Speaking of crowds, everywhere there were people. None of these people had any concept of time, there were no clocks anywhere. Their attitudes seemed to reflect this, and a general lack of inhibitions. Everyone was having a good time and enjoying themselves.
Outside it was no different. I was met with a large city that could fit right in on Earth, except the areas it had were more expansive. There was a huge open-air fairground with many people in attendance. There were even kiosks for popular astral radio station equivalents. Whatever people wanted to do and explore outside of this existence they had the freedom to do.
In one part of the town, there was a massive tower with arches sticking outside of it that spiraled all along the length. It was an obstacle course made with flying in mind. Of course I had to try it. Flying is one of the most exhilarating things you can do while out of body and is a goal on top of many people’s lists, and for good reason, it feels so fun and absolutely freeing. After I had my fill with flying I wanted to explore some more and found myself in a very large plaza almost like the size of the Piazza del Popolo in Rome. In one corner of it on a wall, there was a large array of screens and a terminal. I just remember playing a kind of retro game on it, and the other screens surrounding the main one showed me the people I was playing with, which was wild. Other astral people, in their astral homes, were playing this game with me and I could see them sitting on their couches through these other screens. It feels like there are just as many creature comforts there as here, a lot of it is extremely earth-like.
Towards the end of the experience, I found myself at yet another party at a huge frat mansion overlooking a gorgeous valley. The people there were just as you could imagine from any kind of college party, all young and having a good time. Overall the experience felt like a couple days but I had just scratched the surface of what was in that area.”
